First Job: I was a sandwich artist at Subway.
Favorite Color: Pink!
Obsessions/Hobbies/Cravings: Reading - LOVE my novels! Also love interior design and home improvement projects.
Favorite TV Show or Movie: I really don't watch TV, but if I did, it would be Fixer Upper. My favorite movies are Shawshank Redemption, Hotel Rwanda, Memoirs of a Geisha
Favorite Quote: If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change the way you think about it. ~ Mary Engelbreit
Favorite Charity: I have a soft spot for the ASPCA because I absolutely love ALL animals...and those darn Sarah McLachlan commercials get me every time.
Favorite Client Story: I had a client who wanted "something with character" and so we looked at Craftsman homes, mid-century modern homes, sleek, sophisticated new construction, etc. We both have design backgrounds so we looked at everything and admired every detail. We looked at dozens of homes before we found just the right one. We had some good laughs along the way and I enjoyed every minute of it.
First real estate you purchased & do you still own it?: My starter home in Grand Forks. My husband and I purchased it in 2001. It was a 1960s rambler with green carpets, pink floral wallpaper, gold sparkled countertops and brassy, gold door knobs and light fixtures. We loved it! In the 11 years we lived there, we renovated every inch, inside and out. We sold it when we moved to Roseau, MN in 2012. It was hard to say goodbye.
